Could this happen to Pretty Boy?

    This is biting.

The original thread was titled "what happens when a boxer meets a puncher?"

The author did not see the connection. With a few changes same deal.

Oscar should be the "puncher" in this, no?

I dont think so.... simply because Oscar, even at this stage in his career has more to his game than Jackson and norris is miles away from Pbf in terms of style imo.

I dont however think it's out of the question - Oscar catches Floyd and knocks him out.

Norris had better lateral movement than Floyd but carried his hands low, Julian Jackson hit three times harder than Oscar LMW, their power isn't even comparable, JJ even makes Tito Trinidad look feather fisted.

Totally different styles, and I don't think Oscar can 1 punch KO Floyd.

        Well put, O.

I highlighted the second field to pose the question:

Who wants to see Floyd get hurt?

        Cause it could happen..

Oscar has a way of placing himself in the target area to land his kill shots.

See "Mayorga" (but save the PBF is no Mayorga stuff..)

I think he'll spend hours practicing several of these manuevers.

Floyd does something the same every time no matter how dynamic he is.

Oscar will go in knowing what that is/they are potentially.

Still, Floyd looks good in all areas.

Terrible Terry Norris was a decent puncher, and an excellent boxer.
This video doesn't really do him justice, as he was slowing down at this point in his career. Floyd is much faster, but lacks any real power.
Jackson is much slower than Oscar, but I don't think he punches as hard as Jackson. It's kinda hard to draw comparisons from this fight.

            Excellent, first rate stuff.

We can assume Floyd has a chin capable of tolerating the hardest puncher he will have faced, potentially. We'll also have to see how he can handle fighting if he's badly hurt. It's an unknown, I figure.

So by that you're saying Oscar cannot KO Floyd with one?

              Is that the consensus?.....

              I haven't decided myself.

Oscar can KO Floyd with one punch. Any fighter can be KO'd if he's caught. Oscar is the bigger hitter against Floyd. When he lands one of his blistering right hand, left hook combo's, it's good night Irene for Floyd.

That's what I'm saying with the vid.

Make some changes and we could/will get the same result.

I didn't have a chance of finding a film with two guys that are identical to Goldie and Pretty..

Floyd's chin is still a non-entity though... sure he got rocked by Corley, but what does that actually mean ? i do think Oscar can hurt him but i may be surprised.
