You pathetic ****s. There we finally had a british heavyweight fight worthy of the name and you're slating someone for fighting probably the best heavyweight on these shores and not fighting a man who previously was ducking him anyway. ****s sake.

Well done Danny Williams, class won out in the end. Gammer seriously impressed me though - domestic level that he certainly is, but he did very well today against a very decent opponent. And made me money, which is nice.

Those two men fighting were not world class by any means. I greatly respect Williams but the idea that he is a world class fighter is ridiculous.

how can you say he was the greatest on these shores when williams had just been tko'd in 3 by Audley.

I dont think Gammer was looking for the better opponent here

Now where on earth did I say Danny Williams was world class? Actually, if it's possible, I don't think there's many world class heavyweight fighters in the ... er ... world.

Greatjoe - That Williams, like the fight before against Skelton, was a shadow of what he was in the past. Tonight at least he showed something of what he could have been and even if he retires after that, it's good that he can be remembered in the right light a little.

credit where due..this was a good fight to watch. i don't think there was one clinch all the way through...no low blows, head-butts, rabbit punches. just clean wholesome fun!

i wouldn't call gammer a fraud just because he got ko'd by williams. he's a decent upper-domestic level fighter. he might even get a win against one of the other hw's around at the moment.

in fact...seeing as audley is refusing to quit, maybe gammer-audley will be the comeback fight for both boxers.

hey, I'm for Williams here, I'm glad he won, I was against Gammer trying to pick an EASY OPPONENT at the time he chose the fight.

Good for Williams for Knocking him TFO

It's ridiculous to think that picking Danny Williams would be picking the easy option. If I was a decent domestic heavyweight and I had to pick one heavyweight in the UK NOT to fight it would be Danny Williams.

Gammer gambled and came up short. No shame in that given the condition of Williams and a damn sight better than being another on the list of Audley's roll call.
