I've heard such tales several times. I think an announcer for one of his fights said he was a partier

Not now. Velocity trainer asks him to eat healthy a few meals a day, that's how come he looked so strong at his WW debut. They also emphasize some isometrics, boxing of course and plenty of road work and stretching. Lots of supplements too. Before the Q fight I went to his gym and guys were making fun of him coz the trainer had a big bag of some blow looking ****, it was protein powder.

I think since getting rocked he has cut down on the heavy drinking because you don't hear the "Miguel Cotto was drunk at the Doble Seis" talks anymore.

He's not a heavy drinker, he'll have a cold one here and there but prefers Black Label, probably Blue Label now that he's getting rich, LOL.
Lol! Thats fair enough, these boxers are young men too not just devastating punching machines!

I met him a few times, cant say I'm a friend thou. I know him since he was an amateur him and his brother Jose. I remember everyone used to say Jose was gonna be the better Pro.
Miguel looks serious when he doesn't know you but you can tell he's not that way at all, he joked a lot the few times I saw him training but worked hard.

Here's a link to the videos I took in his gym before the Q fight.
