Danny Williams has shed four stones as he prepares to resurrect his career.
The Brixton Bomber tipped the scales at 16st 4lbs ahead of his British heavyweight fight with champion Scott Gammer.
It is a massive drop from his December points defeat to Audley Harrison, which may people felt signalled the end of the 33-year-old's colourful career.
Williams is also five points lighter then when he beat Mike Tyson in 2004 and with the help of Lennox Lewis's former conditioner Joe Dunbar, could not be in better shape for what he admits is a crossroads fight.
"I just want to show people I am not finished but really it is about taking this fight to see what I have got left and then deciding where I am going to go from there," he said.
"People ask me how I can get motivated when I have beaten Mike Tyson and fought in Las Vegas, but I am definitely motivated because I know that if I lose I am finished, and that is motivation in itself."
Williams weighed in half-a-stone lighter than champion Gammer (17st 1lb) and has clearly caught the Welshman by surprise.
His manager Paul Boyce admitted he had "bulked up because he thought Danny would be heavier", but the The Hammer is still confident he can use this fight as a stepping stone to bigger and better things.
"This is a very important fight for me and I am hoping this is the start of my career taking off," he said.
"Some great people have held this title and been recognised but I have not got the recognition yet.
"At the moment I am not very well known but after I beat Williams I will become better known and get bigger fights. I am confident in myself and I know Ihave got the tools to beat him."
