Cotto V Urkal Main Event Miranda V Green Not?

Okay so Cotto has built a lil buzz up lately with his last 2-3 wins mainly Mag and ol dude i already forget his name, the guy who beat Joel Julio, haha see Cotto is kinda marketable becuz weve (I) sorta given him the Mayweather treatment in the sense whos the guy Mayweather beat last.... Bal..da...meyer..mor..mike aww **** it.. see i cant even begin to play with the name of who Cotto just beat honestly!

Anyway doe i guess i really just wanted to say i think the Green V Miranda fight deserves to be shown last as true Main Events should... **** its not even been billed at the Main Event but the pre Event and thats bogus i think as far as strictly boxing fans go Miranda and Green deserve Top_billing over Cottos ass who will be served and forgotten come Judah time!

Its obvious that Miranda/Green is the better fight, but Cotto has to be the main event. He is a bigger name than either Miranda or Green and HBO has to showcase him for the Judah fight. In the end; is all about the money, and Cotto is money.

Agreed. If you're HBO making Cotto play seconding billing to Green or Miranda would piss off Cotto himself, his handlers, all his promoters and managers- you'd be making some enemies. Sure, Green-Miranda may be the better fight but HBO is still a business. It's not going to shoot itself in to the foot by taking the top name and making it play second fiddle.

Don't make it hard for yourself boi. The Cotto/Urkal card can stand alone and sell even without the Miranda/Green fight. Can the Miranda/Green fight sell without Cotto?

I thnk that Cotto already fought in Puerto Rico not too long ago in an easy fight against light-hitting Gianluca Branco, and 3 fights before that he took a fight against supposed light-highter DeMarcus Corley.

I think that if that fight were to happen in America Green-Miranda should be the headliner with Cotto on the undercard, but it's in Puerto Rico so he's headlining.

No way in hell. The fight could be in Colombia and Cotto would still be the main event. He is ranked #10 P4P and is a two-weight champion.

I think Miranda gains a little more with a win than Green would. Why? Well, because a win on HBO means a lot. It means the fans saw you- both hardcore and casual- and that the boxing world will emphasize the victory. Green is a good fighter but has been restricted to ESPN2 fights. Miranda, on the other hand, had been given a bit more exposure. His last fight was on HBO and he scored a very good looking 1st round KO. If he was to win again, again on HBO, and even again by knockout..well...then he's have good old fashioned momentum on his side.

Green, on the other hand would have taken a huge step forward....but still have a bit further to go before people wanted him to, say, immediatley go after Jermain Taylor.

In relation to Cotto, should Miranda win this fight I'm not sure he'll ever be asked to play second fiddle to him again. Granted, that depends on where he would go after that victory...if the win puts him into middleweight championship contention...well...then Cotto and would never find Miranda on his under card again.

Until then...everyone is where they need to be.
