Compare the training abilities of Roach and Floyd Sr.

Because Roach is DLH's trainer DLH should have at least some change in style. And I'm pretty sure that Roach and Floyd Sr. would have trained this match at different angles.

Aside from that what makes Floyd Sr.'s training style different from Roaches training style? And what does Roaches boxers have that Floyd Sr.s boxers don't and vice versa.

Well IMO, the styles are different. I feel like Roach has his fighters stick to a more traditional style of boxing, whereas Floyd is more about speed and shoulder rolls, which is the style he used as a fighter. Which is more effective is totally reliant on the fighter's abilities, though I think Roach has had many more successful fighters than Floyd has.

Im no expert on either trainer, but it seems like Roach focuses on a wider variety of skills. While Mayweather Sr mainly focuses on defense.Roach gives more intelligent advice in his fighters corner, but Mayweather is probadly a more agressive "Gym trainer".

You cannot change a fighter's style so late in his career. It's like saying to a lefty start doing everything with your right hand. (Although it has been done)

I think Roach will establish a more solid Jab, having DLH throwing 40-50 jabs per round.. will work on cutting through the ring faster to catch the ever running Mayweather...

But it will still be the same all around DLH

You think he'll basically stick with what got DLH to this point and just make a few minor tweaks?

I think the difference is in the energy that they bring to training. I think Roach is a much calmer trainer. He encourages fighters to stay calm and composed. Floyd Sr., on the other hand, is more energetic and trys to get his fighters to go out and be alert and moving.

I think Roach is a better trainer for Oscar than Floyd Sr. is, simple because Oscar strikes me as a fighter that is more of the calm and composed in the ring type.

Oscar is also very good at following the instructions of his corner, and I think that Roach is better and delivering clear an consice instructions for Oscar to follow.

I feel that Floyd Sr's main goal is to get his fighter pumped up between rounds, while Roaches goal is the lay out a clear strategy for the next round.
