Danny Williams: The Brixton Bomber's Last Stand

Hammer fisted heavyweight Danny Williams is less than three years removed from his spectacular knockout of Mike Tyson but the ex-British and Commonwealth champion now finds himself at a crossroads, awaiting what could be the last major bout of his career when the Londoner clashes with reigning British champion Scott Gammer this Friday, March 2 at the Sports Centre in Neath, Wales.

When fighters talk about their last fight, it's their last fight. Danny would have won this 12 months ago, but this reminds me a little of Scott Harrison vs Michael Brodie. Brodie kept talking about how if he lost he would retire and, after a couple of good rounds, he got KO'd. In his head he had already lost. In his head he was already retired. I think that's gonna happen here, and it's a shame cos Danny is a really good fighter who's had a memorable career.

Gammer? Dunno how much he can achieve, really. I guess we're gonna find out.
