Some guys have to show more energy than others. Hagler had great stamina, but boxing behind the jab and using lateral movement at a rather measured pace doesn't quite take the same amount of energy as someone like Joe Frazier, who has to come forward, constantly slip punches and move his head and upper body, and had an excellent work rate. When Hagler pressured it was generally a different type of pressure (except for the Hearns fight).
That's not to say certain fighters who use different styles have less energy and stamina, just that they didn't show as much because they didn't need to.
I would say the swarming, attacking fighters who came forward and threw lots of punches, had to show the most.
Guys like Armstrong, Pryor, and Frazier.
Pacquiao today shows a LOOTT of energy and stamina. Throwing lots of punches, attacking, or using side-to-side movement. Constant motion.
Juan Diaz and Kassim Ouma too.
Ouma throws more arm punches though. Diaz puts more into it, he just can't really punch.
