Israel Vazquez: The fuse is lit!

“Rafa (Marquez) has proven himself as a great fighter but he’s never been hit by someone like me,” said Israel “Magnifico” Vazquez as he finished preparations for his fight against bantamweight king Rafael Marquez.

The fight, which most experts are predicting will be a “fight of the year” candidate is set to take place at The Home Depot Center in Carson, California and will be televised nationally by Showtime Championship Boxing. Vazquez (41-3, 30 KO’s) will be defending his WBC Super bantamweight title for the fifth time. Marquez (36-3, 32 KO’s) is the murderous punching IBF Bantamweight champion and moving up in weight to try and capture a second title in a second division.

Don't get me started on this fight, or my boy Magnifico.

If he wins, you had better chalk up a P4P top 5 slot for oboy. Big time.

The Vasquez that ****d Larios, Simonyan, and overcame adversity to beat Gonzalez is as close to unbeatable as you'll find in boxing. Puro Magnifico.

        Like I said......if he walks through Marquez.....Top 5 P4P easy.

He's in my top 20, but his fight against Gonzalez made me think twice, even though he came back to win, he was severely behind in the earlier rounds, and I feel Gonzalez gave up way too soon.

This should be a good fight. Vazquez did not have to take this fight, but he did it for the fans. I don't think it's going to be an easy fight for both men, but it will be a good one.

I saw the same interview on tv. Vazquez and Marquez may not hate each other outside the ring, but in the ring there are no friends. Both Vazquez and Marquez have that mentality. And they will fight as if they did hate each other inside the ring

Both guys should be respected for taking such a risky fight.

              Looking at records last.

Gonzalez was coming off IMPRESSIVE victories over Too Sharp, Vorapin, as well as Gabe Elizondo.....who everyone on FNF thought was going to be the greatest fighter of all time including Joe Tessiatore.

If you combine all the factors here, you have a serious situation.

I can't ****in believe this fight, is this saturday...

Raf is like my all time favorite, him and his brother. I was at his last fight with Mabuza, had 3 glasses of bourbon and 5 heinekens before the fight...lol I had to piss so bad at round 6 my bladder was rubbin my liver, but I stood and watched that **** from round 1 all the way untill the ref stopped it. But as much as it hurts to say it, as much as it ****in hurts to just think it...Raf is gonna get KO'ed. I just don't see it goin a full 12 if Raf try's to **** with Israel. But that won't take anything away from Raf, he's held it down and dismantled everyone in the bantam weight. Guy was a beast..
