A great writer and a great assessment of the Eastman stoppage.

They say a picture is worth 1000 words. Well, the only ones that come to mind is that this is a fight that doesn't need to continue.

Let me say that I was very impressed with Edison Miranda last night. He fought a more measured fight than we are used to seeing from him, but I expected as much. Stylistically, we all expected the Hagler-Hearns of the new millenium. That was reserved for the Marquez-Vasquez fight instead. What we got is what we typically see from human beings looking to win a fight, tactical respect for the other's talent and strength.

I would be lying if I said I wasn't pleased with the conclusion in sight of the final round of Jerson Ravelo-Allan Green. I have a lot of respect for Green, I never felt comfortable for a moment in the fight because I know he's an excellent fighter. But Miranda came through in the last round and showed us all that he was a serious contender in the division. The last word I got is that he is going to fight Kelly Pavlik as per Miranda's management team. Great stuff and I'm preparing an article on him as we speak.
