Let's see what I can do with a few more.

I have a tentative deal to write an article for a certain magazine. I chose a very difficult subject and it's coming along slowly, but I should have the article done within reasonable time.

Journalism is changing, and you are one of the people changing it!

I look at it like this. You have to go out and find the most challenging projects available. I could go to 7 fights a week, one in each night, and put out 7 fight reports. But to be honest, that doesn't challenge me anymore. Basically, it's all about giving the people what they want. I try to get the fans as close to the sport as I can with my writing. If I can continue to achieve that objective, then I'm doing pretty good.

Journalism today is much more celebrity driven than it was 50 years ago. They won't teach you how to make people notice you at Columbia. It is something you have to do on your own. A few guys have charisma, but most of us don't. If you have it gradually you will develop that magnetic quality which draws people to your writing as well as your speaking. People must react to you, doesn't matter whether the reaction is postive or negative. Kellerman has that ability to evoke an emotional response from his viewers. You can say a lot of things about Kellerman, but boring isn't one of them. I don't think his cv is any better than yours.

The first thing I thought when I got going as a writer is, I'm a naturally magnetic dude and I could go far in this. I wasn't worried about the skill, because although it wasn't there yet, I knew I could get far just being myself and knowing what I know.

I'm a dude who wants people to see my work and say that I did a great job. Radio appearances, television ehh, those are appurtenances, but my main thing is doing what I love to do. One thing that Max and I share is a youthful exuberance and love of the sport. We both have alot of energy and some have said that I'm very reminiscent of Max Kellerman's boyish enthusiasm for the sport.

Boxing needs more young people. I suppose an interesting young boxing journalist is one way to bring the fans back. We live in an age of increasing specialization, which is another reason to go it alone. You don't need to know the difference between and editor and a publisher to get the fans on side. Once you have the fans, the editors and publishers will start kissing your ass!

I'm a working class journalist who interacts with the readers all the time online. I'm just your average dude. I have my readers, they read my stuff and I appreciate them. I'm just a kid who a year ago was a rabid fan and now have a dream job. I relate to the fans and it pays dividends with my work.

I keep telling you dudes, I'm the real deal, I'm not some Johnny Come Lately lol. The Eastman stoppage was right on schedule, he was hung up in the ropes and could've gotten hurt bad if not for the ref.
