It's funny how everyone's always been nervous around him.

But then he was the ultimate weirdo.

There is a good video with Lewis and Eubank discussing something that deserves a New Topic, so I will post.

Eubank and Lewis discuss Eubanks son's wanting to Box. Would you want yours?

The first half is with them playing chess, so just wait until the second part, there is a good discussion about "would you want your kid to box", especially given the kid is not a poor kid growing up.

Would you want your kid to box if he had a variety of other options to make money?

Just imagine you are in Eubank's position: you have some money, your kids are healthy, good education, etc.

discuss your thoughts on Eubank's opinion.

Eubank probably started to box because it was his only way of making money without turning to a life of crime. This probably gave him a tremendous amount of desire and hunger to train and beat his opponents. I dont see his son as having the same level of desire...i think thats the point that Eubank himself makes, and when the going gets tough, junior wont have the metal to make it.

Everyone used to think Eubank was from the silver spoon because of the way he spoke, but it was just a persona he used (although it stuck!). He actually grew up in poverty and spent 18 months homeless in London when he was 14-16, then took up boxing in New York in the South Bronx!

For those who don't know, Eubank controversially didn't like boxing (as a sport or a business, and called it "barbaric"), famously calling it a "mugs game" and always stating he was only in it for the money (he was the first boxer to ever say that and probably the only since to truly mean it). (He became the highest-paid boxer in the world).

However, he was a boxing scholar and fell in love with the "craft" and "art" aspect of it in New York, which is why he probably secretly craves his son to box (so he can train him), but due to his obsession with 'correctness' and strong morals he tries to hide these cravings.

...The shaft theme song in the background was great. They both make sense and that's a tough question for anyone.

If my kid had a passion about it, then yeah why not, it wouldn't be right for me to forbid him... He'll probably see in a short period of time if that's the right sport for him... A lot of people who don't know much about boxing get the wrong impression about it right away... Amateur boxing is a good healthy sport, proffessional is a little bit different but nothing to debate about if someone wants to be part of it...

Christopher Livingstone Eubank Jr is 17 now and about to have his first amateur bout in April.

Christopher Livingstone Eubank Sr hasn't been to see him train.
