Gatti has a granite chin, he just takes so much punishment that he eventually goes down. He was taking Oscar's hooks like nothing.
I just watched the PBF Gatti and Corrales fights and...

I disagree that Floyd beat Gatti more impressively, but I understand why you think that. Now go back and watch any pre-Trinidad De La Hoya. It was never his goal to keep from getting hit at all. He beat a lot of fighters by overpowering them. Not that he was ever a crude brawler, but he never tried to fight like Mayweather did against Gatti. When you go into every fight knowing you have 1) more power and 2) a better chin, that is not the idea. And for Oscar there were few fights in which he did not have those advantages. In the upcoming fight Oscar knows he has huge power/chin advantages, so if you're going to judge the fight according to who gives the best impersonation of Wille Pep, the choice will be easy.Comment

i have watched the pre-delahoya/trinidad fight, but this isn't about their fight, but i think you were trying to make the point that oscar never claimed he won't go blow for blow with his opponents, just like he did with gatti, but nonetheless, floyd's win imo was more impressive than oscar's but hey, whatever, it's our opinion.Comment

Here are some differences, some already mentioned but here's a summary:
Weight class (and thus Floyd's speed and quickness suffers a bit), Oscar's condition (both Gatti and Corrales were as DRAINED as a human can be going into a huge athletic event) how Reyes gloves will effect Floyd's hands (he can't wear pillows), Oscar's power (stronger than both Gatti and Corrales), Oscar's focus (for reasons already mentioned), Oscar's chin (also already discussed, Floyd won't stop Oscar), Oscar's skill level (...).
