i watched the fight, johnson dominated him just cause he was too skillfull for about the first 4 rounds.... but johnson was actually tiring and mora was coming on at the time that johnson had his foot stepped on.... it was nothing impressive on mora part, just a pathetic showing by johnson...

also, mora weighed in at a career low 232 pounds to fight johnson, a full 17 pounds lighter than his previous fight....

he then turned around and weighed in at 256 pounds only 3 months later against fres oquendo in a fight in which he did absolutely nothing.

at 232 pounds he is tolerable, at 256 he is a laughingstock

This guy is just a pathetic choice for an opponent. And what is especially pathetic is that it's for an interim title! Can you imagine if Mora wins? How discrediting would this be to the WBO?

This is just plain pathetic, how are they planning to promote Ibragimov as the "Next big thing" if he is switching from Briggs' fight to this piss poor excuse of a fight? I think it'll be the most pathetic fight the Garden has ever seen.

Since Briggs pulled out of this fight, there have been numerous reports on possible replacements for Ibragimov such as Brock, Lou Saverese, Dom Guinn, etc., etc, only for Team Ibragimov to settle with relative unknown Javier Mora.

Point, these reports have been rather suspect and I kind of find it hard to believe that Team Ibragimov couldn't find a more noteworthly or credible opponent to fight for the WBO intern title. Or maybe the opponents they contacted priced themselves out?

They offered Dominick Guinn a Joke of a $20,000 for the fight calling it a substancial offer...guinn got pissed off and said offer me the right money and ill fight u $20,000 is disrespectful. Then Thompson challenged him as well he would fight him but team ibragimov didnt respond

Ibragimov was in a tough place, because his promoters had ponmied up the 400K in rent for the facility; when Briggs pulled out Team Ibragimov could not afford to cancel the event, but at the same time they didn't want to risk a favorable title shot.

bottom line: if youre as good as sultan and his people claim to be then yo have absolutely no business fighting fres oqeundos leftovers..

yeah they ponied up the rent, but they may as well have gotten an opponent that might sell a ticket, offering people 20,000 cause theyre "too risky" is just plain pathetic

has the 7th been completed mora would have been winning on 1 card 67-66 and behind on the others 67-66 68-65

He doesnt even deserve a shot at Briggs to begin with, I dont know how he managed to make that fight after his dismal showing against Austin.
He doesnt need to take on a high risk opponent, but for gods sakes at least fight a live opponent.
