Join a boxing club. It will teach you two things:

    1. How to control your fear of fighting.
    2. Fighting outside the ring is ******.

IF u fight a lot, that problem goes away quickly.

For me, i was very nervous until the guy hit me. then i felt okay and comfortable.

But if wanna feel comfortable right off the bat, what i did, was i just reached out with one arm to measure him.

I didnt really know what i was doing, but the fact that i knew i could hit him if i wanted, and he couldnt reach me, was always comfortable.

Its definetly not a way to win the fight, but it helps a lot. Just watch PETER-TONEY II if u dont know what im talking about

Getting hit isn't all that bad.. The best way to face your fears is to... well just face them. A good way to gain confidence is to start training and learning how to fight... Go to a boxing gym or something and also get some muscle mass going by working out. Don't be picking fights for no reason if you do this though only fight in self defense. Oh and you don't need to prove yourself to no one. Some people are lovers and other are fighters don't try to be something your not.

I recomend you post stuff like this in another section of BS Forum.. This isn't a topic for Non-Stop Boxing.. Maybe for training and nutrition plus everything we tell you won't make you a better fighter because we are not their to train you. Like I said face your fears head on... Get your ass beat once if you have to you will see that when your adrenaline is rushing and you are in the zone, it doesn't really hurt at all. Find a gym work out and train. Thats like me asking a doctor over the internet how to do open heart surgery. Start training and sparing and the fear should go away...

if you are of sound mind, you should be scared to fight, it is natural because fighting is inherantly dangerous and can get you hurt or killed. That is how humans have survived for so long, they rely on fear....if you people were never scared most wouldn`t get to 30.

Learning to fight will give you more confidence, but if you are in an environment with gangs, drugs and guns, fighting shouldn`t be high on your list.

If you have a fear of fighting, dont fight.

I havent had a fight in 10 years since I stopped amatuer boxing. Its always avoidable.
