In a weird way, I'm actually starting to respect Audley

Don't get me wrong, he's kidding himself if he thinks he's world class let alone has a chance to be world champ. But his unwavering commitment to keep going astounds me, and I think that he should be applauded for that. Most men would give up, or at least think about giving up, after losing three fights in the way that he has. Fair play to him. I hope he can win a central area title or maybe even a British. He deserves it.

    Audley should be knighted.

I wouldnt say a title is IMPOSSIBLE for him. It's not like the heavyweight division is swarming with brilliance.

That's a pretty generous interpretation ... another one might be that he figures he can still make more money in the boxing game than elsewhere...

Audley is not unusual for trying to continue his career. How is he different from EVander Holyfield who is still fighting at 40+ and getting knocked out by a fat middleweight. Audley aint achieved anything and he wants to achieve something still. Easy equation. To achieve something you have to try. You dont achieve by sitting on the coach crying about what could have been.
It would be the biggest shock if he did quit.

A world title is though, surely. W and V Klitschko out to have at least 2 of the world titles sewn up for the next, what, three years? So that leaves Valuev and Briggs. If Audley can get KTFO by Sprott then ****, what would Briggs do to him!? So that leaves Valuev. Well, I can't see him beating the Russian but that would be his best bet. But I would think that Wlad will fight him anyway and so unify the division. I really can't see how, at 35, he's gonna win a world title. BUT i think he could beat Scott Gammer or Danny Williams again and win the British. There's no shame in that, the British title is a highly respected one, and one of the oldest in the world. But win a world title? No chance. I just hope he stops kidding himself so that if he DOES win the British title that he can be content. I'll certainly be cheering for him from now on.

Holyfield is going on because he has shown other people how it's done his whole life. People have written him off and he's come back and done the seemingly impossible. Audley, too, has come back from adversity. I don't think he'll ever win a world title, but I just think that most people would have given up having lost that badly, and being roundly hated by the people. ****, how many people turned up to cheer Holyfield against Jeremy Bates?!! They love him, they hate Audley. Which makes it even more remarkable that he's going on. And I don't see him making huge money from boxing any more, besides which he's quite comfortably off anyway and could probably make decent money (without getting punched which, let's face it, he can't stand) from helping out the British amateur boxing team for the Olympics. He is showing heart in carrying on, IMO

I agree to an extent. Harrison's commitment to keep going despite achieving literally NOTHING in his professional career is impressive. If only he would shut up and get on with his work without making excuses or ****** promises, then I might actually not root for him to retire out of shame right now.

Yeah I guess you're right. I was watching him against Sprott thinking he'd have so much difficulty with someonre his own size like Vitali.

But I would rather see Audley get a title shot then Sprott. If sprott beats Skelton for a title shot we could be looking at another Brit slaughter.

That's an interesting point... Audley just to get British & Commonwealth and stay there.. or European level at most. he could conceivably do that. Maybe.

But at least Audley is sounding a bit more humble now. He said you may think me delusional for continuing. So the being undisputed by 2008 he may put away in the locker and throw away the key for a while.
