the rest i see where you are coming from, i do think it is going to be mayweather toughest fight, we'll see.
what dr filth is talking about is bernard hopkin's frame. He is 6'1''. If it wasn't for his superb nutrition and his 356 days a week training...he would eventually have to move up to 175. He starved his body for years..

I think oscar is going to give floyd's fits but i think floyd's bag of tricks will pull it off. oscar is not as slick as spinks and cannot keep pressure for 12 rounds.

because of oscar's stamina i think his best chances rely on stopping mayweather inside 8 rounds or so. knowing this floyd can be very cautious in the early rounds. so pressuring can buy oscar more rounds than moving, oscar should probably pressure.

i think it will be a difficult fight for mayweather but he won't look pretty at all. he will have to be very defensive in the first part of the fight.

i think the fight that would make floyd shine would be hatton, this does not mean i would give ricky a better chance of beating him than oscar, cotto or mosley. but we would see floyd fighting, because hatton is the fastest of the bunch at closing the distance. the same can be applied to mosley, but i am not sure i buy his "second youth".
castillo used a pressure method...and that fight was at 135 I believe and Judah used his superior power and speed to dominate rounds early. The thing is, though, oscar is a much different fighter. people can say all they want - fighter's cannot just change styles midway through there careers. People are saying that Oscar should pressure like castillo - that is not his tempermant. we all know he is a text book straight forward fighter.

anyway, i think oscar should turn into the counterpuncher. use the jab and counterpunch with floyd. go punch for punch with him...eventually you will shake him up and maybe hurt his determination a little bit.

i somewhat agree with you about hatton. hatton closes the distance extremely well and this is a fight where i think mayweather would look extremely good if he is able to fight at hatton's pace...which is entirely possible. i still put my money on hatton because of his youth and agression.

I disagree with that, I believe oscar has the ability to change his style to nearly any style his corner sees fit, not only mid career, but mid fight, so long as it stays within his realm of physical ability. No doubt he wont be as comfortable with other styles, but I am confident that Oscar can execute them effectivly none the less.

Oscar is very very good at following instructions from his corner, and Im pretty sure that he is well schooled in all styles of fighting. Be it the Mayweather shoulder roll, or fighting dirtier than Sandy Saddler.

Oscar has a very large set of fundamental boxing skills, that give his corner a large number of options as to what they want him to do, and how they want him to fight a particular round. Its one of the reasons he has done so well in his career. He has lost fights by following his corners instructions (Trinidad), and he has won fights by following his corners instructions.

I dont doubt for a second that Oscar has the ability to make this a very dirty fight. People see Oscar outside the ring as a nice, polite guy, and they forget that once he steps into those ropes, he becomes an animal.

Compare the look in Oscars eyes to the look in Floyds eyes.

Floyd has the look in his eyes like he fights because its a sport. Oscar on the other hand has the look in his eye like he is thirsty for blood.

floyd needs to be shutted up. he's been a blabber mouth recently and oscar needs to get him straightened out.

Floyd has the look in his eyes because he is not facing a human punching bag.
