and i think hopkins didn't look good in his last fights at 160 because of weight drain, even in the fight against dlh in the early rounds it was all oscar. he should have moved up to 175 sooner, and hops started as a pro at 175 - he's a natural 175
seriously a natural 175 pounder does not fight 15 years at 160. he did not look good after the joppy fight imo, that makes it still 13 years, fighting at 160.

the rest i see where you are coming from, i do think it is going to be mayweather toughest fight, we'll see.

Personally, I think if Oscar tries to bull him around he is in for a beatdown. Floyd does not punch hard but he punches hard enough and his punches have a lot of sting to them that they do hurt and you do not want to get hit by them which makes you really inactive. I think Oscar should try using some lateral movement. Make Floyd come to him and try hitting him with sharp counters. I wanted Floyd to fight Spinks for the exact reason. He is a southpaw and he is just as quick as Floyd, if not quicker. He would make Floyd come to him and it would be interesting.
i dont know, we have seen mayweather lose rounds against castillo and judah. so if those are the blueprints we do know that we want a fighter with stamina (to either move or pressure). I think oscar is going to give floyd's fits but i think floyd's bag of tricks will pull it off. oscar is not as slick as spinks and cannot keep pressure for 12 rounds.

because of oscar's stamina i think his best chances rely on stopping mayweather inside 8 rounds or so. knowing this floyd can be very cautious in the early rounds. so pressuring can buy oscar more rounds than moving, oscar should probably pressure.

i think it will be a difficult fight for mayweather but he won't look pretty at all. he will have to be very defensive in the first part of the fight.

i think the fight that would make floyd shine would be hatton, this does not mean i would give ricky a better chance of beating him than oscar, cotto or mosley. but we would see floyd fighting, because hatton is the fastest of the bunch at closing the distance. the same can be applied to mosley, but i am not sure i buy his "second youth".

Let's all hope and pray this doesn't end up as a disqualification of both fighters, and ruin the night for everyone.

Some people are gonna be upset.

Oscar will win by TKO in the 5th round. I seen this in a vision. Oscar will press him with hooking shots with both hands set up by the jab. He'll catch him during a combination, hurt Floyd and Gayweather will be ruined, lose his legs and completely fall apart before us all. I'll bet anyone any amount of whatever you guys bet on here, just show me how and lemme know how much.

What r u smoking??? Oscar has fought Chavez, Whitaker, Trinidad, Mosely and Hopkins, all first ballot Hall of Famers. With the exception of the B-Hop fight, Oscar may have won all those fights. He's also fought Rafa Ruelas, Genaro Herandez, Quartey, Vargas and Mayorga, all better fighters than what Floyd has faced. Now, Floyd has not fought the caliber of opposition that Oscar has. If he has then we'd be talking about "Remember the Floyd vs Hatton, Mosely, Cotto, Tszyu, Casamayor or Freitas fights"; We aint talking about those fights cuz Floyd did not go out and make em happen. Oscar has fought all the top dogs, that's why he's the top money maker in the sport.

Floyd did fight G Hernandez, although he was old and worn by the time they met.

oscar's very best strategy would be to be a bigger, stronger jl castillo and use his power to hit floyd's body early and often with his power shots, especially the left hook - maybe he can get in a liver shot like hops did to him. even if it doesn't stop floyd, it might freeze him up for enough time to land some clean power punches
