    Mayweather Proclaims Superiority over Pacquiao

In recent months, there has been great speculation as to who was the rightful claimant to the mythical pound for pound throne at the summit of the boxing world. Following Roy Jones' finalizing knockout losses and Bernard Hopkins' two defeats to Jermain Taylor, Floyd Mayweather Jr. was tabbed as the man who without bias of weight and size, was the best fighter in the world. I do agree. Floyd was champion after only 1 year as a pro, and ten years later is still champion. Talk all the about him fighting nobodies you want, when you're fighting guys like Castillo, Corrales, Gatti, Judah, Baldomir, it's not easy being undefeated.

Pacquiao is a solid number 2 in the world, but number one and guts warrior following Gatti's departure.

i dont know man, pac is very good but hus heart doesnt compare with gatti and that imo is what defines the warrior, i mean, in the marquez and morales fight he got very discouraged when he saw those guys werent going anywhere. besides he hasnt been in any brutal fights, but he sure is exiting to watch

Alright, then who is the new action superstar in the sport? Obviously if Gatti is no longer the most exciting in the sport, it has to be someone. I suggest it's Pacquiao. And this holding everyone in comparison to Gatti is just going to lead you to be disappointed because there will never be another Gatti. The dude would be tired, broken hands, broken ribs, cut and just got off the canvas and he still will be fighting.

Gatti got discouraged against Mayweather and De La Hoya, we're all humans.

He certainly looked like he was. Same with De La Hoya. He was actually looking to his corner when they came in.
