yea thats the only thing. I think he'll definetly make top 10 again, but never #1 becuase there are guys like VALUEV and KLITSCHKO and PETER, who are HUGE.

Mesi even before this whole mess, probably wouldnt have much a chance of beating this guys.

Mesi looked like he was in a lot better shape. I give him about 5 more fights and he should be taking on the top 5 or so. Good luck Joe.

Last night’s TKO win over journey-man George Lindenberger was a good, and much needed, performance last night by comebacking hw Joe Mesi. Mesi looked determined, relaxed, and very sharp in his victory, albeit against a really awful looking journey-man in Lindenberger. Mesi also looked to be in better shape than recent outings; coming in at 229 lbs.

Overall it was a good win because of the television exposure and Mesi's fan friendly style of fighting. Hopefully, team Mesi will step up the level of competition in his next fight and is able to get re-licensed back in New York state. Glad to see that Mesi is back and I think he brings some much needed excitement to the hw division.

The strange thing about the notion of Joe Mesi getting back to form that everyone seems to have is that he was never going to be good anyway. He has fought two live opponents, Monte Barret (a C level fighter) and Vassily Jirov (a bloated cruiserweight) and has proven to be their equals. He effectively got two wins that just as easily could have went to the other guy or have been a draw against them. This indicates that he was just never very good and was waiting to be exposed. Why would two years off and bleeding on the brain make that anything but even more inevitable? I don't even think he's worth the time to cover on a Versus undercard to be honest, and I live near Buffalo.

he also knocked TOS out silly. something that guys such as wladimir klitschko, chris byrd, mike mollo, etc. could not do. I'm not positive but i think that was TOS's worst loss.
hopefully byrd will soon step it up like has been said and fight guys like owen beck, or other fringe contenders (maybe a 25-50 guy) and i mean actually that high, so tomas bonin who is ranked 12 by the wbc is actually a 25-50 guy.

Why is it that so many people on this forum are wishing Morrison luck?

"best of luck to him" "I wish him all the best" "I hope he does well"

This for a guy that is a confessed steroid user, a confessed coke addict, a confessed wife beater, Etc, Etc.

But when it comes time to talk Mesi, the longest current undefeated HW, "he is a bum."?

I don;t get it. The guy is articulate, intelligent and very exciting. No he is not the greatest of all time or even this time, but against some of these HW out there he has some power and a good amature background and he is young, by HW standards.

He will get his license back in NY and be fighing on HBO before the end of the year.

I am a Mesi fan but I don't nut hug like the MILLIONS of others on these forums who think that their guy is unstopable.

                      Give the man a shot.
