I think there's always more to debate when it comes to a boxer but I understand what you're saying. He is such a focus on these forums that conversation has strayed to things that are irrelevant to his fighting. Still, if someone says something and people want to talk about it they will. Floyd has been running his mouth.

Let's forget what Leonard used to spit before a big fight. Ignore the insulting comments that began when Ali made pre-fight conferences entertainment. The bravado of men like Haggler can be overlooked. People are short-sighted. They forget that many greats promoted fights in a way that established what these new fighters do. Just ignore what he says- he needs to talk. This forum is proof of it. His dumb pre-fight antics have made those 6 or 7 thread pop up. There's been a huge increase since he ran his mouth and almost "brawled" with Oscar. You may dislike his Ali-like "I'm the best, creme de la creme," bull****...but that's the business side of boxing. It makes people want to see the fight who normally wouldn't care. Based on this forum we're confirming that running his mouth gets people to talk about him....and therefore makes the fight bigger.
