Mike Tyson: I'm Not In This Game........

"I'm not in this game. I'm here physically, but if I was in this f****** game all these f****** guys would be f****** dead, and their mother's would be running into the ring crying because I knocked them unconscious."-Mike Tyson

Part III of his interview with Greg Leon and Shelly Finkel www.**********.net

My questions are does anyone on this site believe that Mike Tyson could return next year and maybe win either WBA or WBO title? Does anyone believe that if Tyson didn't tear a ligament in his leg that he would have beat Danny Williams? I konow he can't be like he was in the mid 80's and 90's but is there anyone who thinks he can return and suceed? I am a fan of Mike Tyson and was watching his old fights and thought if Bernard Hopkins can fight good at 39 and James Toney can fight good at 36 than why can't Tyson at 38. He has a good trainer and he is broke as hell so why not fight. Even if he just fights bums at least he could leave the game with money and on a winning note. I am a fan of Tyson because of what he did in his Boxing career, I am not a fan of personal life and some of things he has said and done. The point of writing this thread was to see if anyone else thinks that Tyson's career ends on a good note and he gets the recongnition for his accomplishments.

If Brewster still has the WBO belt, I don't see how anyone could say that he couldn't win the WBO belt. But who knows we'll have to see how long he can go without getting injured again. Instead of Roach trying to get Tyson some time in the ring, Tyson should just go back to trying to end his fights as quickly as possible.

As much as I hate to say it Tyson has a chance to get another title. Brewster is afraid to throw a punch, Ruiz is just pathetic, and Vitali Klitchko is a sitting duck waitng for a guy like Tyson to knock him on his ass. I'm just not that impressed with any heavyweight champs-- so in my eyes if Tyson has any killer instinct left he can get a belt.

Exactly and thats why when people say Tysons done, its not true. He still can win some fights, Teddy Atlas said on a number of occasions that Tyson always will have a punchers chance. If Tyson was ever to fight Vitali and happened to land somthing big it is not crazy to say Tyson could be champ again.(but it is unlikley)

That basically sums it up, this division and its champions are so bad that anyone could be champ. (Tyson, Bowe, Holyfield....)

Let me correct myself, it is unlikley that Holyfield,Tyson or Bowe will win it but it is a possibility. Mike Tyson still has a shot at a title, I think he would take Ruiz's head off and we all remember what he did to Golota. Although I thought he would beat Danny Williams they probably should have put him in with Kevin Mcbride like orginally planed. What Tyson should if he decides to keep fighting(which he will most likley)is fight absolute bums that have know chance, to build confidence. And no Danny Williams was never a bum its just alot of people never heard of him. Don't get me wrong Tyson should have won and Danny Williams is not a great fighter but Williams also is not a complete bum.

Of those 3 I'd say Tyson has the best shot. Bowe looked extremely fat in his last fight so I'm not sure what more he will be able to do. And Holyfield being the oldest by far should just give it up. I think a lot of people look at Sam v. Williams and Francis v. Williams and thefore came to that conclusion. Tyson should fight someone who isn't in the top 50 in first fight back.

I wish he would just stay out! He is a disgrace and makes no effort at setting thing's right. He could try and do that, but has no desire to. I cant be a fan of someone that treats the rest of mankind like dirt.

I agree that out of those 3 Mike Tyson could definatly take a title again as he has the punchers chance against anyone. He nearly knocked Danny Williams down in the first round of there fight but lookily for Danny he had a above average chin. I haven't seen Bowes first fight but i think he should not be boxing at all. As for Holyfield wanted another title shot i think he'll get one but i don't think he'll win it now. I would hope he would win because then he'll retire.
