Cotto set for Urkal, then Judah!

Cotto set for Urkal, then Judah!
    By Karl Freitag
"I've prepared myself very well for this fight," said WBA welterweight champion Miguel Cotto today in regard to his March 3 mandatory defense against Oktay Urkal. "Every guy who comes into the ring has two arms and two legs and is coming to fight, but I've prepared myself very well and I'm very confident and I will be ready and I'm going to win." In addition to the Urkal fight, Cotto has a showdown with Zab Judah scheduled June 9. Cotto says that fight is not a distraction. "All I'm focusing on is the March 3rd the fight that I have with Urkal. That's all I'm thinking about right now. Once that's settled and we get it done, we'll think about what's up next and what's coming up in June." In regards to Judah's vow to knock him out in five rounds, Cotto commented, "all I can tell you is that throughout his career, Judah has always been a big talker, but seeing the actions in the ring, he has not been able to back up those words. So I'm not worried about anything he has to say."

That's a defense against a solid fighter and then a fight against what some of the ****s on here refer to has the G.O.A.T.

So maybe they'll give him credit after he beats the G.O.A.T.

Niether do I, I guess he thinks it's gonna be easier then we all do. I hope he's right b/c a focused Judah = very difficult competition.

He's giving Judah a title shot for the same reason PBF gave him a shot after Judah was coming off a loss against Baldi, because he's a dangerous and exciting fighter, its the kind of fight fans wanna see. There were a lot of easier opponents out there Cotto could've chosen after beating his mandatory, give the guy some props.

              That's well said.

I have to agree with the man here.

I have respect for Cotto and what he's doing.

Judah has become a high risk/low reward opponent. Mad props to Cotto for fighting him though. I think Cotto wins, but this is almost 50/50
