DLH is past his prime.. PBF is still in his.

The late 90's was DLH in his prime, Now I wanna ask you guys this.
Do you think if DLH was in his prime and was goin up against mayweather
now do you think there would be a huge difference? do u think more people
would have their money on DLH?..or do you think still it would be the exact
same it is now? honestly I think it'd look horrible if PBF lost to him currently..and I think there would be a difference if he fought dlh in his prime too.

Alot of people think DLH has a great shot to win. When they stand next to each other, the size difference is crazy.

I think its very typical of PBF to fight someone in the twilight of their career.. He will never fight an A level fighter in their prime..Unless they are coming off a loss..
I am sure DLH in his prime would trouble PBF .. But I am still sure the DLH of today will trouble him as well.. and possibly win..

PBF wouldnt have half the chance he has now against DLH if DLH was in his prime. DLH still has a great chance to win but i think if DLH was in his prime then Floyd would be the under dog in this fight.

Are you talking about that prime DLH that got a gift against an old, undersized Pernell Whitaker?

people, get over it. De La Hoya may not be in his prime, but hes still a great fighter, and hed beat everyone at 147 possibly, if you think about it. He would beat the majority of people at 152 as well probebly, what would you call him, #4 or 5 at Light middle?

Just look at Mosley. Hes older than De La Hoya, and he still looks as good as ever. Well maybe not quite, but Im sure you get the point

the DLH that beat Julio Cesar Chavez, Ike Quartey, Gatti, Vargas! You make it sound like you think DLH was never a great fighter.

he may be past his "physical prime" now, but that doesnt mean he still isnt a good fighter or as good a fighter now as he was 2-3 years ago...

lennox lewis was probably a better fighter at the end of his career than he was when he was in his prime at 30...

oscar may not have beaten a prime sweet pea, but he still beat a good one and one that was not a big under dog as far as betting odds...

De La Hoya has almost as good of a chance at beating Mayweather now, as he did back then. Forget the fact that he's older, hasn't fought as much, whatever. He's still got the speed, power, and determination to give Mayweather all he's got. Which should spell trouble for the "Pretty Boy".

Oscar's too old now. This fight would have been way better around 99 or 2000. Floyd's gonna box circles around Oscar. Floyd is faster sharper and more naturally talented than Oscar. Oscar should have went after Spinks or someone else at 154. The Golden Boy will be Bronzed May 5th.
