it was weird telecast. Powell was wearing Windy gloves which are muaythai gloves. The ring announcer was a goffi dreadlock wearin hippy white dude. Micky Ward was in the audience on the phone waving to the cameras like dumb fans do.

Yet again good match-ups produced only moderate level action fights. Many of the fighters who needed to fight with hunger just coasted. Neither Powell nor Smith looked like they were ravenous for a win- no true hunger- and Edner really needed to let himself go more and he didn't. I wasn't as happy as I thought I'd be with the night. The boxers just don't seem like their careers are on the line...and on the case of Edner Cherry and Ishe Smith they most likely will have a tough time getting back on HBO now...so in a way it was.
