A Peter v Vitali fight would make more sense late in 2007 ,plus Vitali would get a much needed warmup fight as well.
at least vitali never lost the belt. he was forced to surrender it due to injuries so he could heal instead of keeping the title in limbo. peter still hasnt done crap as far as Im concerned. he got whupped by wlad and the only contender he beat was a 38 yr shot toney that was half peter's natural strength and he beat him only 1 out of 2 times legitimately. thats hardly championship worthy

I had Toney winning the first fight by about 2 points, but the 2nd fight wasn't even close.Peter won the FINAL ELIMINATOR fight convincingly so that makes him worthy of getting a shot at the title in my book.

I would love for Peter to fight Wlad. He would give him a pretty good sustained beatdown. Vitali is another story. Vitali is going to dominate Samuel Peter.

I still think Peter earned the shot, but whatever. I hope Peter stays active though and doesnt just wait for the shot. Assuming Vitaly wins he'll be the obvious favorite but it'll be interesting to see how much Peter has improved since the Wlad. fight. He's a young guy and that fight will've been about two years prior to the fight with Vitaly so he's probably improved quite a bit. I think the Oleg fight will say alot about what Vitaly has left after the layoff/injuries too.

Peter did not show anything to indicate that the fight will end any different then the first one.
                    Wlad will whip him.

not sure how on earth you think he beats wlad in a rematch. wlad looked awful in there 1st fight and he still beat peter badly. if anything it should be easier 2nd time around considering he;s improved since then and peter still has no defense. peter will have a better chance with vitali becuz vitali is now 35 has been inactive and who knows how sturdy those legs will be now,,,but he still probably loses to vitali as well,,,,unless vit has slipped more than we think
