You'd still see some monstrosities....kind of like Jerry Roth's scorecard in the Trinidad/DLH fight. He gave 3 of the first 4 rounds to Tito and openly stated that he stands by that scoring.
That's some straight up fixed **** and he knows nobody will do anything about it. It's pretty sad....because all a judge has to do is state their opinion and everyone accepts their apology. What else is funny....is when there's a scoring error and the correction is made weeks later.
but i just liked hearing the scores prior to the end of the fight. Cause if its a draw though 8, then both fighters are gonna REALLY pick up there game it would make the championship rounds a hell of a lot better IMO

How is it really going to help other than motivate fighters?
the judges make their minds up as to how a fight is scored. They aren't going to go back and change their scores based on an open scoring system where people simply voice how they felt the fight should have been scored different.
It's just tough luck....and it's in no way comparable to an instant replay addition in pro football....because the decisions are up in the air until confirmed by the replay. In boxing....open scoring does nothing but cause even more debate and speculation about judges being paid off etc.
There's no way around it and I think open scoring is a waste of time.
