There was a time when Buffer served as the ring announcer for eighty to a hundred boxing cards a year. Now, he limits himself to roughly two dozen fight shows annually plus twenty to twenty-five appearances at conventions and other events. For a boxing card, he generally receives expenses plus $3,500 to $5,000. Corporate appearances are likely to net $15,000 to $25,000. His fee for other sports events varies.

You were right on the money there. $2,500.00 per event. Not bad, he has turned one phrase into millions of bucks - but it took him years to get one that didn't make the crowd laugh when he said it! He tried many phrases.
All of us put more into the introductions for the bigger fights. All in all I like working with the ESPN crew the best, the people with HBO are right up there, but not as friendly, the guys with Showtime are about the same as HBO, however Steve Farhood is a nice guy, very much a boxing historian, I enjoy talking with him....Comment

Farhood knows more about boxing than anyone on HBO or ESPN, and probably exceeds Bernstein and the rest of the Showtime crew too...You were right on the money there. $2,500.00 per event.
