Cotto v Judah

Let's not get technical on an issue that doesn't matter. The point is, that even in a tiny ring, even with no power, and even after a KD, the boy Paulie was able to scoop up a few rounds, AFTER the abuse he'd taken for the whole fight.Actually Malignaggi was holding on for dear life near the END of the fight, however he was somewhat sticking and moving through out the mid rounds.
Zab is about as fast as Paulie but has power, he's also a lot less active than Paulie and is not as good clinching as Paulie is. Zab will be competitive until Cotto times him, same way KT timed him, PBF timed him and so will Cotto.Comment

Fair enough, are you trying to say Judah will be able to do the same because he's as tough or tougher than Paulie?Comment

No...because if Cotto loses his reputation will be smashed to bits and he'll be selectively handled for the next 2-3 years of his career. If you haven't noticed, there are a significant amount of people on these boxing websites who are foaming at the mouth at the prospect of Cotto losing so they can sit here and spout off the, "I told you so" ****. Cotto is on the brink of a lot of HUGE fights. He just signed a big deal with Top Rank and has MArgarito/Mayweather/Williams/etc out on the horizon. I can envision a loss being a Vernon Forrect situation all over again.
Judah is what...30 years old tops? He will have a chance to to EARN his way back to a title shot the way a lot of other fighters do. He hasn't taken such a bad beating in any fight to the point where his body is damaged goods. He'll feast on a bunch of C level fighters and earn another mandatory spot somewhere in the next year and a half.Comment

Haha! I'm the biggest Judah fan, but I will in no way say that his chin is better than Paulie's.
What I AM saying is that Judah is the better boxer. The thing I've noticed with Paulie is his slight inability to move away from punches using reflexes. He usues his legs almost exclusively. Judah (when he's on point) will move away enough for himself to get in a good counterpunch (see: Mayweather KD).
You said that Paulie punches more, but I think that's because he doesn't counterpunch as well as Zab can.Comment

man ive been watching cotto fights and judah fights lately and i think, one good body shot could do it for cotto, judah has a rock hard, yet long skinny body, im telling you, one body shot. cotto by ko.
ps i know that maybe a straight left from judah could do it too, but i see much more probable for cotto to land a killer body shot than judah landing that straight leftComment

True, but countering those body shots by Cotto can become painful, question is he'll be willing to counter those body shots and take some of them.Haha! I'm the biggest Judah fan, but I will in no way say that his chin is better than Paulie's.

If we are comparing Paulie and Zab, maybe we should consider the facts..
Paulie was hit alot, and he was hit hard. There is no way that Zab can handle the bonecrushing punches of Cotto. Remember Paulie's Orbital bone was broken and his face was a mess. He was knocked down and hurt several times in the fight. Zab does not have the chin that Paulie posseses.
Baldy is slower and lighter-punching than Cotto, yet Baldy caught up with Zab and hurt him several times.Comment

Hopefully he'll avoid those shots.
Also. I'm a fan of Cotto as well, but I notice how in ALL of his fights, he takes unnecesarry punches from opponents. I mentioned before that he cannot do this with Zab.Comment
