He only had a handful of rounds because he was knocking out his opponents, what was he supposed to do, deliberatley go 12 rounds?? Nothing changes the fact that tszyu was in the top 3 of many pound for pound lists and the linear champ at 140. Hatton deserves props for making the fight with him as opposed to making a fight with someone who went life and death with micky ward 3 times.

Tsyzu had only three rounds in 2 years because he was injured. I'm not sure which "opponents" you're talking about, since he only fought Mitchell between June 2003-June 2005. I think his last fight before Mitchell was against Leija at the end of 2002 and that was also a quick fight. Like I said, it was the perfect time to fight Tsyzu when you consider everything.

Also, Tsyzu was off of a lot of lists precisely because he was inactive...

Why does everyone think they know what kind of shape Kostya was or was not in? People believed Kostya to be in great shape. He was favourite against Hatton. Kostya said before the fight he was in the greatest shape of his life. The layoff had done him a world of good. Why dont people just accept this and why do people think that they Know better than everyone, coming up with reasons they think that make them sound intelligent. In boxing you are only as good as your last fight. We are all boxers here arent we? Why do i need to remind people of this famous saying?
