I wish he would stop jumping in with the left, sometimes u can get countered with a hook den ur dropped, like Andre Ward does,if he fights behind the jab then uses the combos,he'd be like a young DLH
honestly, thats one of the things that Freddie Roach is working on with Vanes now.

Freddie does believe that as the competition is stepped up a bit and Vanes doesn't feel so comfortable and over confident against his opposition, then he will naturally be a bit more cautious and fight a better fight.

Yeah he is leaving himself open a bit, but the guys he's been fighting have had no shot at all. I still don't know how good his defense is, because I've not seen him have to defend himself. But he is smooth; I like his style.

he is so much better when sparring with BIG names like Roman Karmazin, Sakio Bika, Sam Solimon, Manfredo Jr., Kingsley Ikeke.

He goes into a chess match mode and the gym stops to watch. During real fights he tends to lower his fight quality to that of his opponents (kinda natural in all sports).

Next fight will be a definite eye opener for all. Should be a well experienced guy with nice winning record. Sometime late March.

I got a kid and baby momma up in Burbank. Which is right next to Glendale. I noticed Vanes gets mad love up in Glendale. Especially when he fights.

ya bro, the Armenian community in Glendale and surrounding areas love him.

Vanes is a very humble guy from a good family, when he goes on Armenian tv for interviews that comes through and the people love it.

We also try to have him be active in community events too.
If all of this wasnt there, 1,000 Armenians wouldn't come out to watch him fight at the Honda Center.
