    Absolutely.

I'll have my ears fully open for that one.

I dunno if Ray is any good at training, great fighters are rarely great trainers and his own pride may come in a way.
But it does not really matter, Sheepshagger will smakc Manfredo around.

I agree that Jow will win but it wont be as bad as the Lacy fight. The styles are much different and Manfredo is a lot faster than Lacy.

I still think that Lacy is better than Peter, but the styles that they fight will be different here.

Betting on Manfredo here is the smart money, he is listed as +1750 and there is little risk for your reward if he does pull off a miracle. I would take anyones action with those odds. For every 100 I put up you put up 1750.

I put 1000 against your 17,500. Any takers.

he'll probably get frustrated and will have to realize that most guys can't do what he did.

I'm with you. Most of the greats dont do as well training others. He didnt do so well when he was promoting; I think he does well giving tidbits of advice, to to translate his knowledge to training, I get the feeling he wont do well. I think Manfredo would have had a chance with Roach in his corner. I wonder if he loses, will he use that as an excuse.

I trained with Roger, Ray's brother and a fixture in Ray's training camps back in the day. Ray Leonard's gym in Landover Maryland's a pretty popular gym as far as the east coast goes- they host DC events & Maryland golden gloves championships there. From what I know, neither Leonard brother does much of the actual training in their gym.

I haven't seen all *that* much of Manfredo since being with Roach- didn't see the Pemberton fight. Skill wise, if he picks up anything from Leonard it'll be fighting "cute" and occasionally a big flurry - not sure that's what he needs at this point of his development.

Then again, Leonard may just help him achieve that champion mindset of rising to any challenge.

i want manfredo to do well, but if Calzaghe loses he will NEVER come to the states and i will never get to watch him live...

He said he wanted to fight in the garden before he retires..

Yeah am looking forward to seeing what Ray has up his sleve vs calzaghe if its not a ******* then he got no chance off manfredo beating calzaghe,
CAlzaghes gonna destroy poor Manfredo its 2 much off a step up for peter to beat guys like Spina then go up to face a guy like calzaghe, peter wont even see them slaps coming...
