    Brit boxers have TRUE GRIT...IMO

I have always been a bit partial to Brit fighters. They always come to fight and, except for Danny, always seem to be fit and ready. I have felt this way ever since Alan Minter beat Sugar Ray Seales and I lost a bundle of $$$. From that point on, I was always weary and leery about Brits in the ring. "Ragmuffin" later proved this caution to be correct. Billy Schwer and Brian Hughes are personal friends as well. Call me unique but props to British fighters. Even Dave Boy Green demonstrated true grit..and that's the quality I think is evident here. TRUE GRIT! What do you think?

I think that people need to stop judging fighters by their nationality. British fighters could be American, and if nobody was told then they wouldnt know, and it would have no bearing on anything. As it stands a fighter is labelled as British and a lot of negativity follows that fighter for the reason ¨they are British¨. Its the same as saying a fighter is black. Yeah? So what?

Even though you praised British fighters I dont think there is any difference between the traits you pointed out and the traits of other country's fighters. Castillo and Corrales both came to fight, in their first match up, and neither of them are British.

Now I just wish that people would stop judging people by factors that mean **** all. Like their nationality or race... how about judging a fighter for what he's worth. A fighter is a fighter is a fighter, no matter what his background is.

Don't be so poltically correct. This is just the way it is and always has been in boxing. Italians like their boxers; Japenes like theirs; and Cubans arew crazy about their's as well. I just ahppen to like the style of Brit fighters which I submit is different than Americans. Let's look at another example. Fichers from Ghana, Nigeria, South Africa, and Guyana tend to always move forwrad and stick to their opponets like glue. I like that. As a rule, that tends to distinguis then from others...IMO. And oh BTW, I don't need your personal insults as a reposnes to a personal opinion.

My favorite British fighter was Michael Watson.

And Frank Bruno, the "lovable loser".

I liked it when he beat McCall (even if the fight kind of ******).

ven though Minter is a bit daft, he is the classic tough Brit...though Michael Watson was a great warrior indeed. And Benn.,

its a nice view but abit naive.

                  nationality means alot in boxing.

do you think that when fighters have a domestic dust up that they just see
it as another faceless opponent ? of course they dont, they see it as a chance
to prve their the better fighter of that nationality.

theres so many situations in boxing where nationality is important id get
bored giving examples. i do see what ur getting at but its not black n white.

Each Counrty Has Its Own Set Of Mores, Rules And Laws. Each Counrty Is Different. Each Country Produces Boxers That Are Reflective Of Its Uniqueness....whether It Derives From A Different Kind Of Training, Schooling Or Whatever. That's What I Believe Anyway. I Could Well Be Wrong.
