    Feelings on Vivian Harris?

Surprised i haven't seen much on this fight.. no way should Lazcano been deducted a point in the fashion it happened, especially when it happened..

IMO, Harris could've made it an early night had he payed attention to his corner...

i don't give Harris much of any chance against any of the top guys at 140

what did yall think from his performance (or lack there of) saturday?

Alright, kind of just touched on this in the predictions thread but here goes anyway...

Vivian's combination looked sharp and even Lazcano, who has a pretty decent chin, felt the power. Harris's chin is a little in question as with the stamina issue. Two VERY important things to deal with before he's ready for the elite at WELTERWEIGHT. But at 140, he's ready now.

IMO, if he's having the trouble he's having now (whether he realizes it or not), he shouldn't go NEAR 147 anytime soon...

There didn't seen to be much fluidity to Harris' offense during the fight.. and him crouching down with Lazcano was almost a show of arrogance on his part IMO.

He has the potential to give anyone problems.

Unless he completely unravels himself like he did against Maussa....I don't see how people are going to deal with him on the outside at 140....and if he moves up to 147 he'll carry his power. I think he'd knock Paul Williams into next week, because he'd just attack him. He has that Teddy Reid long punching power that causes trouble.

Harris can fight two ways, either box or he can just ****. We saw Lazcano hit him with the kitchen sink...even low and the punches just bounced off him. Before that he showed resolve by taking some combos and letting Stevie Johnston dictate the pace for 1 or 2 rounds, and then just became dominant.

Even at that before he collapsed againt Maussa he was pretty impressive against Urkal. I think he can beat anyone if he doesn't beat himself.

Good fighter, better then i had thought and physiclly bigger then i thought since i had thought Lazcano was going to be the bigger fighter. I think he can compete at 140, take Margarito away from the 147 pounds and he'll be stronger and maybe hit harder at 147.

How come you don't give him a shot?

He's a skilled boxer, HUGE for his weight class, can **** and can take a punch.

I don't see how he wouldn't be a concern for everyone in the division.

to the elite of the division, i just don't see him as a threat, unless it's a specific style flaw in the opponent he's facing

nothing he showed in saturday's fight gave me any reason to think otherwise.. maybe it's just me

Maybe a better question would be, "Who do you think would absolutely blow out Vivian Harris?"

                  I don't know what you're looking for.....

Lazcano is as tough a customer as you'll find for that type of fight. He hit Harris with a barrage of low blows, elbows and headbutts and made the fight ugly. Harris made a statement in that he could stand and trade with him...and even though he was inactive he was getting hit and not backing down. The minute he took the fight outside...he did what he was supposed to do.

I think if he wasn't trying to prove a point....he would have stopped Lazcano in the middle rounds after pot shotting him from the outside. Styles make fights and I don't think anyone can look impressive against Lazcano..but whatever. If you aren't impressed that's your opinion.

                    Margarito, but he's a welterweight.
