Mayweather just said De La Hoya was his last fight again

He said this is it. I still doubt it. But he's saying that Mosley had his opportunity to fight him and that he's been ducking him since 98. Now I am a huge Floyd fan but he's begging for too much attention. If he beats DLH his pride will not let him turn down a Mosley fight in the latter part of the year.

Yeah I am sure Mosley was ducking him in 98 when Mosley was P4P. Mosley was fighting everyone who stepped up. Even Forrest who he knew might be able to beat him. And then he fought Forrest again.

PBF is full of it sometimes, Shane never ducked him, there was more money in someone named I don't know DLH.

I don't feel like a boxer is truly tested until late in his career. You know when he is clearly older and and has to use his ring smarts. Mayweather is a great boxer don't get me wrong. But in most cases solid boxing with blinding speed has been his formula. I just wanna see him in that type of poition. Similar to Hopkins against Taylor. And if he retires soon there won't be that opportunity.

This whole thing is pissing me off.

especially the fact that MAYWEATHER has the talent to be one of the great WELTERWEIGHTs of all time.

AND the fact that the talent for him to prove it against is clearly there.

HE needs at LEAST 5 more fights to convince me hes the greatest welterweight there ever was.

Even if he knocks DLH out in round 1, I will be FAAAAAAAAAR from convinced...

Mayweather interviews in non-boxing media outlets

My theory behind internet boxing geeks like ourselves, and casual fans being 2 totally different markets is coming together. In all normal media outlets i see mayweather giving interviews, its nothing but positive fight selling speak, in internet interviews, its trash talk and bashing. Which proves that him and de la hoya are trying to sell the fight to both the casual and hard core fan. Not one time in public on tv interviews with alot of people watching have i seen him dis de la hoya like he has in internet ones.
