As for being 'exposed'...for me, Floyd has proven his class (in the ring) so if he loses to De La Hoya, I certainly wouldn't put it down to him being exposed. Floyd nuthuggers genuinely believe he is the greatest of all times but the logical among us know this not to be the case. So, from a logical standpoint, Floyd losing might be a surprise but it isn't shocking and it certainly doesn't constitute being exposed...

For the record I believe this will be a close fight whoever wins. Right now I lean towards De La Hoya but my opinion on the outcome has changed several times already, and no doubt it will change again. It's one of those fights where I really can't be decisive in picking my winner. A 50/50 fight. Love it!
I agree with you, he is not fighting mccallum, hearns or wright. It would be unheard of if he did something like that. it would have been like robinson fighting moore or charles instead of maxim.

however oscar currently is one of the best fighters at 154

But yeah, I wouldnt say he'd be exposed if this were to happen, they're both good fighters and one of them has to win, though I am leaning towards Floyed by decision, but wouldnt be surprized at all of Oscar drops a hook and puts him to sleep.
not quite the case. Oscar was a welterweight by 24. he is a significantly bigger guy than floyd is.

    in general

i dont see what is wrong in stating that oscar is one of the best at 154. who else is there? spinks, karmazin, ouma... all of them better than oscar?

I'd be shocked if DLH would be the one to do it. I'd still be suprised either way.

Yeah, Oscar's got to improve his defense. If he can't defend against a guy like Mayorga, that's scary. But he changes his style so much.... I think he just wanted to brawl with Ricardo to prove he can do it. He boxed against Tito, went toe to toe with Fernando & fought against Chavez. He picks a style and sticks to it during the fight. I think he'll choose speed and defense with Floyd. Much like the way Shane used against Colazzo. By the way, I think Shane blows Floyd out at 147.

I for one would be very happy if Floyd got knocked the **** out. That'll show, he was only good against the non elites and when he stepped up, he was garbage. Of course I dunno how much Oscar has left to really pull it off, but it would be great. Then Floyd can retire after his loss like Hamed realizing, when he took a step up, he couldn't **** with em.

Id know he would come back just like Sugar Ray Leonard. But I dont see Floyd losing for quite a few years as long as he moves back down to welterweight after the DLH fight.

                    ...by De La Hoya?

mild shock, I suppose. Haven't really thought about it...don't really care. Any fighter can lose on any given day and Floyd's moving up in weight against a guy was a damn good left hook, the one punch Floyd's most vulnerable to.
