    Mayweather Responds to Spinks Challenge

Last weekend a challenge was made, and a few days later the challenge was answered. Shortly after his decision win over Rodney Jones in Florida, IBF junior middleweight champion Cory Spinks called out Floyd Mayweather, Jr., among others. [details]

im lost as to what mayweather thinks he did to judah. did he beat him, yes. did he do it in convincing fashion or even dominating fashion, no. so how can he make the argument that he would terminate spinks. i dont see the logic in his answer.

It took Mayweather a few rounds to figure Judah out, by the end he was toying with him. There's more intriguing match-ups than Mayweather vs Spinks.

why do people forget that spinks beat judah once too - in fact, knocking him down, which I can't remember Mayweather doing...

plus, using that logic, he never would have fought judah because of how baldomir embarassed him

Im not saying Mayweather should not fight Spinks because of the whole Judah thing, I just wanted to clarify to Mr. V that it was somewhat convincing.

Personally I'm just not a fan of Spinks and there's other guys i'd rather see Mayweather mix it up with.

If I was Floyd I wouldn't stay at 154 very long. I think he'd be better off at 147.

Mayweather was considerably slower at 147 than 140 or 135, so the likes of him being that much faster than De La Hoya at 154 is slim to none. He needs to stop acting like Oscar won't put up a fight and focus on one fight at a time.
