Damn shame what happened to Quiroga too."

How about nine rounds of the same thing between Brooks and Curry in 1978?

Awesome list. Chacon vs Limon in 82, is this the one where Limon wiped his blood on the ref's shirt? and he had an evil looking grin as he was getting up from that last kd? I think they fought about four times? . Limon, Edwards, and Chacon had an alternating series of truly great fights with Navarette getting in the mix. Arguello vs Pryor comes to my mind when compiling great fights. Fantastic drama with each fighter looking to have finished the other. Also Sanchez vs Nelson was tremendous in my mind as the young prof gave Sanchez all he could handle before getting tkoed in the last round. Coming out fight for Azumah, last one for Sal.

                great list Ted!

The thing about Tyson-Buster IMO is that Buster was the perfect fight on that night in Japan. No man alive could have beaten him except for Dong King who tried but failed. His jab was perfect. His resiliance was solid. His motivation was charged by the reacent death of his mother. His right hand to close matters was a punch from Hell. On that night, he was the "baddest man on the Planet" and Tyson was exposed. Within this context, the fight was a great one IMO.
