And he looked abnormally strong, he battered Eubank in a battle of strength for 10.9 rounds, and Eubank was a very, very strong man. THAT Watson was a world-beater, on that one night.
We'd never seen Watson that good before.

Against Benn, all he had to do was tuck up! Nobody gave Watson much chance against Benn (those who even knew who he was), not even his own team! Benn fought like a berk that night, hitting arms, gloves and elbows - Watson just let him punch himself out. He did show a good guard the way he cupped his gloves and dipped in with those elbows while remaining upright, and he did appear cool and precise - though it wasn't difficult the way Nige was fighting.

Against McCallum he was found out, he was forced to initate the action but appeared very one-paced and stood in front of McCallum and was picked off with bodyshots and generally out-classed in every department.

Against Eubank (first fight) he was also found out, it was known afterwards that Eubank had lost 19lbs in four days and actually passed out the day before, but he still made Watson look bad and helped Watson look even slower and more static than he was. Eubank won that fight because he was making Watson miss so many punches with his awkward reflexes and body sways and had Watson under control for most of the fight with positioning alone, and had the pace of the fight under control most of the time, even though Eubank's legs were knotting up on him from top to bottom after five or six rounds (and that he was fighting on empty by the 10th). Eubank was DEHYDRATED after just six rounds of near non-action, taking big gulps of air and swallowing big mouthfuls of water. Watson exposed, he couldn't take advantage and Eubank there for the taking in the last three rounds.

Well, the funny thing about alts is that we can't take anyone's word about them. It was better to think that some of these were NOT Geoff, and since you're a joker . . . .

Watson was always very stiff, and because he was very stiff you could tell he was putting everything into every punch on THAT night, when you watch his fights then watch that fight. His hatred for Eubank and jealousy of Eubank was so, so bitter.

You're having a good time posting here, ain'tcha, son?

You come into a forum section dedicated to CURRENT BOXING and - just by coincidence - happen to find a thread all about retired UK supermiddleweights. I bet you thought your luck was in, huh?

There's a forum especially for this - it's called BOXING HISTORY.

Why not post there instead, you autistic, attention-seeking ****?
