KISSIMMEE, FLA. - Undefeated "BAD" CHAD DAWSON, the newly-minted World Boxing Council light heavyweight champion, and his trainer Floyd Mayweather, Sr., established themselves as the ticket to beat for "Fighter of the Year" and "Trainer of the Year," respectively, and we are just four weeks into 2007. Dawson (23-0, 15 KOs), from New Haven, CT, put a cold blooded beatdown on Tomasz Adamek (31-1, 21 KOs), last Saturday, ending the previously undefeated champion's 21-month reign. Dawson is too young,fast and strong for all 3 of them........I would worry about Tarver the most because of his heavier hands......Dawson just might put the exclamation point on the end of RJJ career if Roy wants a piece of this kid.........Dawson KO Roy inside 6.....unless Roy runs like he did in his 3rd fight with Tarver.In fact watching dawson the other night reminded me of a Roy south paw but not as flashy.......very fast for a LHW and precise punching all kind of different punches, he was awesome Sat night.

Dawson is unpolished and has chin issues.
Part of me says he cant compete with the best in the division, but the other part realizes that the best in the division arnt that good.

The punch looked on the button and it could have been. You can't say he has chin problems just because he got hit perfectly 1 time and went down.
