I'm pretty sure at this age tito would lose the fight, but always has a punchers chance, and if tito did lose then all we would hear from Margarito is that he is the best in the world and he could beat floyd etc etc etc alot of **** really so if it happens, i hope tito knocks his ass out

Bouie Fischer to this date still claims that when he checked Trinidad's gloves in that fight.....His gloved hand "felt as heavy as that camera" *pointing to the camera man*

The "claim" made by Fisher and the Nard camp was the extra layer of gauze used in between tape to cushion Tito's hands since he does hit so hard. The NYSAC ruled the hand wraps to be LEGAL but asked Tito to please re-do them as Nard threatened to pull out of the fight.

Bouie Fisher, in an interview a few years back, admitted to the psychological warfare aspect of the move and that he actually didn't find anything wrong with the hand wraps.

Also, anybody who believes that a cushion substance makes a punch hit harder is just a moron.

Agreed here. Tito would demolish Margarito. Does anyone remember how many left hooks Clottey landed on Margarito. No WW or SWW can eat that many from Tito and stay vertical. I dont see anything in Margarito's style that says he can win. He is not the defensive fighter that Winky or Hopkins were. Also he is not bigger and stronger than Tito which Winky and Hopkins were.

I think when he fights Cotto that Cotto's left hooks will give us good indication of what Tito would've done to Margarito.

Also remember that unlike Clottey, Tito has his hands wrapped in quick drying fiber glass, so his hands wont break like Clotteys

People that say Tito had no skills dont know ****. A guy like Margarito would not last with a prime Tito for 12 rounds. We arent talking about a great boxer here, Margarito isnt exactly quick on his feet, he isnt exactly a defensive wizard. He comes foreward, and throws a bunch of shots. You can bet your ass Tito would find an opening.

Your wrong Tito was technically sound just not great. Look at the guys who defeated him and you'll see master defensemen not good defensemen. That and they were at middleweight and Tito was king of WW.

Also Margarito is slow of foot and hand, he'll make Tito look like Ali resurrected the same way Mayorga did.

But you dont have to take my word for it, you'll witness it yourself when Cotto does all of the above.
