    If Mayweather looses...

I don't think you can knock the guy for loosing if he does. I was looking at Hopkins v De la Hoya again today and Oscar was quicker than Bernard but he didn't have enough power to hurt him because he was a smaller guy.. You can't knock him for trying though because he did well, two of the judges score cards were tied and one had him ahead by one round... Bernard started getting more aggressive though and landed that shot and bam he was down.. I think regardless of that shot Oscar would have ended up loosing the later rounds even if he would have got up or it wouldn't of happened. I was thinking DLH v Floyd could have almost the same type of effect.. Floyd will not be able to hurt Oscar, Oscar will be the bigger man in the ring and just like Oscar's shots weren't fazing Bernard.. Floyd's shots aren't gonna faze him. If Oscar applies constant pressure and imposes his force on Floyd I think he could win.. If it turns into a boxing match Floyds got this.

But say Floyd lost.. there would be not shame in it.. He was fighting a bigger stronger opponent 1 or 2 weight class from where he is supposed to be at...

I could already smell the I told you so threads from both sides.. But I respect Floyd and Oscar no matter what the outcome because Oscar's old ass is fighting a Boxer who is in his prime and Floyd is fighting a Boxer that is Bigger than him.

Well yeah I'm just saying they both have their strengths and weaknesses coming into the ring that night Oscar being old and Floyd being smaller so I really think the better man will win and whoever shows up that night. People are putting both fighters down acting like either one is gonna shut the other one down when I'm positive that won't be the case.

as with any case, it is a matter of how he loses...if it is a close decision in a competative and respectable fight...then no shame...if controversial...then no shame...if a barnburner and gets stopped late by some good shots by an Oscar that steps up his game...then no shame

but if KOed in 1 round...or inactive and just outworked and shutout...then yes...a shame...

meaning it is never a shame to lose when you put on a respectable effort...especially vs a bigger man...but if you go out like a sparring partner or a debut fighter...then for the #1 P4P fighter, the shame means a lot more...and he is expected to at least be competative vs DLH if not win...

so it can depend on the showing and also the fighter...the level that PBF is on right now, a decisive (near shutout or quick KO) loss hurts

Hoya looked pretty damn good in his last fight VS Mayorga so I don't think anyone has the right to say that he is washed up . I know what you mean it's a no win for Floyd no matter what . Ppl will just say that Hoya is past his prime and blah blah blah if PBF wins . But if Flyd loses then they say Floyd was never good.
