Paul Williams' 82 inch reach is too long for anyone out there?

Paul is a good fighter, sound both offensively and defensively. I've seen him a couple of times now on cable tv. What he's lacking IMO, that was always there with the great ones, ie JCC, Leonard, Hearns, Hagler, is a killer instinct. Remember how Hearns demolished Cuevas or Duran? or how he went balls to the wall in his fight with Hagler desperately trying in vain to get Hags out of there? You can see the intensity and the sense of urgency in Hearns when he's about to go for the KO. Something that I haven't seen with Williams. Time is on his side and he's young enough...

if you're getting your stats from boxrec i wouldnt put total faith in it.
for the longest time they listed cory spinks with an 80inch reach.
i'll have to take another look at williams to see if his knuckles are below his knees.

best places to get stats like that is the "tell of the tape" they have on hbo and showtime . but boxers bull about these things alot. i've seen james toney listed as tall as 5'11.

i use to put a lot of weight on a boxers reach. but then theres guys like cotto 66"reach and hatton is like a midget at 65"reach. i've used it as a stat when handicapping fighters. but its never came into play most of the time.

some1 with a bodyshot style would break him down cause with that sort of reach it would take awhile for his arms to go back in guard

williams is the future of 147, i think he would beat margarita easy no problem, i'd like to see him against a tuff opponent like clottey to see how he can measure up to margarita and his 82 inch reach is correct, i see him going all the way to 160.
