Who are you going to believe, a guy who actually was there judging the fight or some random poster on boxingscene?

        I rest my case:

Do you guys really care that much about an amateur fight???????? I don't care if they got the story out of a disney book, doesn't matter much now. My friend's dad used to fight pro before now hes 50 and ill kick his ass any day. Yeah he was pro but now hes **** does that answer your speculation?

                  Here is the truth
In an exclusive interview with *********, Maskaev claims that he'll fight whomever the WBC mandates though his preference is a clash against Klitschko. "I've been looking to fight Vitali Klitschko because we have to finish something that started when we were amateurs," Maskaev said of an early '90's amateur bout between the two future champions. "I stopped him in the first round. He's saying that he couldn't continue to fight because he had an injury. But the fact is that his trainer threw the towel in the middle of the ring and stopped the fight in the first round."
Notice how he doesnt say that he knocked Klitschko down..

Gotta agree with BPP. The amateurs means absolutely nothing. It's so different from the pros it should be considered a different sport.

Yeah.. he was out for good 20 minutes... They had to take him out on the stretcher

Maskaev ended Klitschko's career that night.. before it even started
