    If Klitschko beats Maskaev...

This is a prediction. If Vitali fights and beats Oleg Maskaev, he will not get into the ring with Sam Peter. Peter will be the mandatory challenger, and Vitali will fight someone else or more likely, come down with some sort of knee injury.

The best fighter that Vitali has fought since Lennox Lewis is probably Corrie Sanders or maybe Kirk Johnson. I don't think too highly of Sanders based on one knockout win. Besides that win he is a journeyman.

This is why Klitschko getting the title shot is such a travesty. I would be fine with it normally because it would set up a huge grudge match between Klitschko and Peter, and who wouldn't want to see that? But Vitali will not fight Peter.

This is my prediction: Klitschko beats Maskaev, retires again. He is only coming back because he knows that Maskaev is an extremely weak belt holder.

If his brother had an easy time disposing of Peter, what makes you think Vitali will be scared to get into the ring against Peter? You people make Peter out to be some indestructable undefeated force but meanwhile he lost to a non confident Wlad Klitschko and he beat Toney once not twice. I do not give a **** what the judges said in the first fight. Toney won that fight. Each time I have watched the first fight, I score Toney winning by points. Granted in their second fight Peter beat Toney by a wide margin. Peter kept coming forward in their second fight because he knew that Toney did not have the power to hurt him.

how is sanders a journeyman w/ only 3 losses?? two to rahman and VK and impressive quick KO's of cole, wlad and cycz... not to mention he nearly beat rahman, he had him hurt several times in the fight...

I don't know where to begin. You obviously believ that Vitali retired b/c he was afraid of Rahman. Thus you are not really worth conversing with, but I'll go ahead.

I am really becomeing a Sam Peter fan, but Vitali is about the worst matchup for him imaginable. I can't see Peter beating Vitali. I am understating this by a good deal. Vitali has to know this. And that mother****er is many things but afraid to step in a boxing ring with another man is not one of them.

And what has peter done to deserve his shot? he lost to klitschko badly and then beat a 5 ft 9", fat former middlweight.
