David Tua vs Robert Hawkins on Feb 22

ESPN is reporting that David "Tuaman" Tua is returning to the ring on Feb 22 in NYC to take on journey-man Robert Hawkins. Hawkins is best known for going the distance with Samuel Peter and being KO'ed in just his 4th fight against Oleg Maskaev.

Tua on the other hand, is continuing his comeback after winning twice in 2006 against lower-tiered opponents. So, the logical question is, should we boxing fans be getting excited about Tua's comeback and what can we expect from him in 2007?

It hasn't been much of a comeback so far.The Tuaman needs to stay a little more busy.

Supposively the reason why Tua isn't as busy as someone who's on the comeback trail is because he's having trouble finding opponents who will step into the ring with him.

He looked aesthetically good-looking against Byrd, but he actually appeared to be in bad shape for that fight, perhaps he overtrained. He probably hasn't been in tip-top shape since the Ike fight though, certainly in terms of his punch output.

He's looked absolutely terrible in his comeback fights. I don't know wheather he's doing it because of money or he's just delusional, but he needs to improve by a long, long way if he's to even challenge the best of a bad bunch.
