According to Spanish reports, former Welterweight Champion Ricardo "El Matador" Mayorga was arrested at Managua International Airport before he boarded a plane headed for the United States.
The report states that Mayorga purchases four cars for $54,500 and paid for the vehicles with a check that had no funds. Actually Mayorga doesn’t even have an account in that bank!
The vehicles, all 4x4 jeeps, were all fraudulently sold to third parties.
Although Mayorga refused to sign any documents or offer any comments, before he was arrested he did take time to smoke a cigar and drink a glass.
