Here's a preview of my new Paulie Malignaggi column set to drop Feb. 12. It will feature remarks from Paulie Malignaggi, Lou Dibella, Edner Cherry, and my favorite author/writer, Thomas Hauser.

Muhammad Ali once claimed "It isn't bragging if you can do it." When Paulie Malignaggi failed to live up to the lofty expectations set by his own mouth prior to his encounter with Miguel Cotto, a sense of schadenfreude, a German term used to denote enjoyment in another's misery, prevailed in public opinion. Just as has been the case with other notorious self-promoters like Camacho and Tarver, once they fell to the fists of an opponent, critic's and fans alike rejoiced at seeing a loud mouth get what they felt he had coming. Battered and bruised after a hard-fought twelve round contest, Malignaggi was forced to face the music for which his own mouth was the conductor of.

He went the distance with Cotto. Not only that, Malignaggi made things easy for Cotto by just standing in front of him. Just think of he could do when he learns to move!

It's not easy to move in a small ring with a guy as fast as Cotto.
