    Rafael Marquez is crazy

I just realized that he took on a former world title holder with nearly 40 wins in his first pro fight! Rabanales was a seasoned vet and MArquez stepped up in a serious way in his first pro fight. Has anybody ever faced a fighter on this level in their first pro fight? I don't know of any...

I know that guys like JEff Fenech and Kostya Tszyu were fighting bonafide vets within their first 10 bouts or so, but no one this good in their very first fight.

Too good to be true and it's funny as hell. It's either Rafa fought his first PRO fight as a ten rounder or the guy with the nearly 40 fights went down and fought him in a 6 rounder. Now which is which?

If it's the later, then no big fuzz because there's something absolutely wrong when a guy with nearly 40 fights starts fighting as a six rounder again.

ive got one to trump that gringo, the hitman does his boxing history research

the 1956 Heavyweight Gold Medalist Pete Radamacher made his professional debut on August 22nd 1957

He fought Floyd Patterson (32-1) for The World Heavyweight Title, he knocked Patterson down in the second round but was put down 6 times himself and finally out for good late in the 6th round.

he then fought Heavyweight Contender Zora Folley (40-2-2) in his second fight, he was put down four times and finally out for good in the 4th.

Now there is some great career management.

According to Nacho himself it was suppose to be an exhibition but it ended up on his record. Rafa's first fight was a 4-round ko win...
