B- Hop is top 5 at middleweight

He is top 5 of all times at middleweight, seriosuly who are u gonna rank above him? graziano, zale, valdez, and a bunch of blown up welterweights like griffith, walker, basilio, lmfao. I love when there are so many hates of b-hop on this site. Dont blame him if the guy from the 30's, 40's and 60's couldnt even make 5 successful title defences. The 1950's consisted of an old out of his prime, blown up welterweight beating the top middleweight challengers, thst funny.

    B hop beat:
    trinidad
    tarver
    de la hoya
    john david jackson
    william joppy
    simon brown
    glen johnson
    keith holmes
    fitz vanderpool
    carl daniels
    robert allen twice

dont hate on him cuz he was a consistent fighter.

he's in my top 5. consistency is something to be admired in the sport. the dominating fashion in which he beat people in his prime is something to be admired. his two biggest names on his ledger are ex-welters, but monzon and hagler have two big names on theirs who campaigned at lighter weights as well.

i rate hopkins in his division much like i rate holmes in his own respective division. their divisions may have been weak, but you can still see that the championship caliber fighter was there and they could have competed with anyone throughout history.

I don't rate him in my top 20 personally. Every world-class middleweight he fought, he lost to..

Certainly, Hagler, Monzon and Nunn are the top three.

He's been consistent his whole career and that is due to his great discipline that he developed over time. This guy was probably whippin ass in prison.

His era was weak, lol and who was champ during the 1930's and 1960's. Yeah a bunch of one hit wonders.

Tony zale ad rocky graziano were on top during the 40's, two guys with incredibly padded records. How many times did they defend the belt, like two times.

Oh come on, he knocked out Kalambay with one shot in one round at a time when everybody thought Kalambay was unbeatable after the ****ing clinics he put on HEROL GRAHAM and MIKE MCCALLUM.. but then again, everybody thought Nunn was unbeatable going into the fight too.

There's no doubt that Graham and Kalambay were the two best middleweights in the world 1987, their fight showed much more skill than the Hagler-Leonard fight. Graham was supposed to be unbeatable before that, but Kalambay clearly won - then he clearly beats Mike McCallum, who was supposed to be unbeatable too. And then Nunn, who is supposed to be unbeatable but who's only weakness is supposed to be lack of power, takes Kalambay out with a lightning counter left hand/hook.

I don't think he compares with Robinson, Graziano, Hagler, Ketchel, Monzon, Greb, Basilio, Fullmer, Turpin etc. And he isn't called **** Tiger. So no, top five of all time? Only if you have a selective memory.
